Understanding Layout Pricing

A breakdown of Layout’s pricing model, what’s included in your subscription, and how location-based billing works.

Layout uses a simple, transparent pricing model designed to make it easy to understand what you’re paying for and how your subscription scales as your business grows. There are no usage-based fees, per-order fees, or hidden costs tied to notifications or analytics.

Layout currently offers one plan, called Layout Pro. This plan includes access to the full Layout platform and supports one active location. With Layout Pro, you get everything Layout offers, including a fully branded mobile app, Square integration, mobile ordering, push notifications, announcements, analytics, NFC taps, and access to the Layout dashboard.

If your business operates multiple locations, additional locations can be added to your subscription for a monthly fee per location. Each additional location allows that store to appear in the app, receive mobile orders, and be included in analytics. All locations are managed under the same dashboard and share the same core features.

Pricing is based on active locations, not usage. This means you can send unlimited push notifications, receive unlimited app downloads, and process orders without worrying about overage fees. This model is especially beneficial compared to traditional SMS or marketing platforms that charge per message or per contact.

Billing is handled monthly through Stripe. Your subscription renews automatically each billing cycle unless canceled. You can view your current plan, location count, invoices, and payment method at any time from the billing section of the Layout dashboard.

If you add or remove locations, your billing updates automatically. Changes take effect immediately, and any adjustments are reflected in your next invoice. This allows you to scale up or down without long-term commitments or contracts.

Layout does not take a percentage of your sales and does not interfere with Square’s payment processing. All customer payments flow directly through Square using Apple Pay and Square’s in-app payment technology. Layout simply facilitates the ordering experience on top of your existing system.
