Your account information controls how you access Layout and how your business is represented across the platform. Managing this information correctly ensures smooth communication, accurate records, and proper access for you and your team.
You can manage your account information directly from the Layout dashboard. This includes personal details such as your name, email address, and contact preferences, as well as high-level business information associated with your company profile. Keeping this information up to date helps Layout support assist you faster if you ever need help and ensures system notifications reach the right people.
Your email address is used as your primary login and main point of contact. This email receives important account-related messages, including support responses, billing notices, and critical service updates. If you need to change your email address, it’s recommended to do so before inviting additional team members to avoid confusion around access and permissions.
Business information such as company name, address, and location details are used across the platform to correctly associate your app, analytics, and Square connection. While most customer-facing details are driven by Square and your app branding, this internal business profile helps Layout organize your account and support multi-location setups.
If you manage multiple companies or brands under one Layout account, you can switch between them directly from the dashboard. Each company maintains its own settings, Square connection, locations, and analytics. Changes made to one company do not affect others unless explicitly configured.
Account security is handled automatically by Layout. You do not need to manage passwords for Square or Stripe within Layout, as those systems use their own secure authentication flows. If you ever suspect unauthorized access or notice activity that doesn’t look right, contact Layout support immediately so the team can investigate and help secure your account.
